The 2022 Davis Cherry Blossom Festival was our first in-person spring festival since the pandemic. The event featured plenty of taiko teams, local bands and artists, an artisan gallery and market, food trucks, and a seasonal beer release. It also featured taiko workshops with masters Tiffany Tamaribuchi, Sascha Molina, Isaku Kageyama, Roy Hirabayashi, and PJ Hirabayashi. Presentations on taiko were given by Roy Hirabayashi and Deborah Wong. Both days culminated in large audience-participation Bon Odori sets. This year we raised money for Changing Tides (mental health awareness and treatment) and My Sisters House (shelter, resource, and advocacy for domestic violence prevention). It was such a blast getting to celebrate in joyous community again! Thanks for coming out!
